Peter More of the host Breezy Bend Country Club won his first Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship by an impressive 8 shot margin over runners up Garth Collings and Jesse Skelton also of Breezy Bend.

Aaron Cockerill of the Teulon Golf & Country Club who recently won the Provincial Junior Boys Championship won again at the CN Future Links Western Championship which was held in Rocky Mountain House, AB.



JENNA ROADLEY - 2010 WOMEN’S JUNIOR CHAMPION

Jenna Roadley of the Glendale Golf & Country Club captured the Provincial Junior Women’s crown by a fourteen shot victory. The first round of the 54 hole Championship was held at the Teulon Golf & Country Club with the final two rounds contested at the Niakwa Country Club.

Teulon Golf & Country Club's Aaron Cockerill captured his first Junior Boys Championship in a dramatic manner by defeating Myles Sullivan of the Portage Golf Club in an extra hole playoff.

GOLF CANADA ANNOUNCED
(Thursday, April 22, 2010) The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA), the governing body and National Sport Organization (NSO) for golf in Canada announced today that it has adopted ‘Golf Canada’ as its new consumer facing brand.

As of April 22, 2010, the National Sport Organization for golf as recognized by Sport Canada will be known as ‘Golf Canada’, a member-based organization governed by the Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA). More information may be found in their News Release.
